Fundraising tipsWe have included this section to help you with your sponsorship. We have often heard runners saying it was easier to do the run that get sponsorship and that it is often difficult to collect money in afterwards. Hopefully these tips will help you achieve the £300 we have asked you to aim to raise. Now that you have your sponsor forms you may want to spread out friends and family donations and pledges across the top of each form. Friends and family will tend to be the most generous and this sets a standard for other to follow. Always keep a sponsor form and pen handy as you never know where you might meet your next potential sponsor! The InternetMore and more people are using the internet and now you are able to create your own sponsorship page on websites like justgiving.com. If you have set up a page why not add the link to your email footer so everyone you email can go to your page and hopefully sponsor you! If you would like a just giving page but are unsure how to set one up, please contact the office and we will be able to help you. Gift AidGift Aid allows us to claim and extra 28p on every pound raised, encourage your sponsors to include their name, house number and post code against their donation and tick the gift aid box if they are a UK tax payer. Please assure them that we will not use their details or pass their details on to anyone else. Think outside the box!You can raise money in other ways, organize a dress down day at work, hold a raffle at work, the money raised can be added to your sponsor form as a donation. Perhaps you could have a collection box at work, let your colleagues know they can put their loose change in to support you, just contact me if you would like a collection box, collection bucket or the smaller treasure chest box. |
